EPC - Enhanced Primary Care Plan

An EPC is a plan on the Medicare Benefits Schedule where medical professionals plan treatment for patients who suffer from a chronic or terminal medical condition with other medical providers. In order to access this option, you will need to see your GP for a referral.

You may be eligible for an EPC referral if you are living with a chronic disease (6+ months in duration). Some examples of conditions where you may meet these requirements are: cardiovascular disease, asthma, cancer, IBS and diabetes. You may receive up to 5 sessions per year, which you are able to receive a Medicare rebate for.
